Real Estate sold in Oakland’s Rockridge District 5556 Masonic Ave

Upper Rockridge home 5556 Masonic

I recently placed Buyers into this sleek, split level home in Oakland’s Upper Rockridge Neighborhood.  5556 Masonic in Oakland’s Upper Rockridge has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  It has updated bathrooms and is a perfect candidate for future expansion.  We actually had a great local architect (Richard Janzen) out to the property to check the feasibility of adding a second story or bumping out from of the master bedroom.  Overall the home was in good condition and my Buyers have some plans to re-landscape the rear yard.

Buying a home Upper Rockridge can be quite competitive.  This property was shaping up for competition so the Buyers decided to preempt the offer date and make a clean offer right away.  Yes, it was over the asking price but since they were looking for several months and this home was substantially underpriced (the Buyers knew it and the comps proved it) they went in with a sharp pencil.  The Seller decided to accept our offer and while my Buyers were happy, several other agents and their respective clients were not.  As a listing agent I would have handled things differently, but as the Buyers agent it was my job was to get them what they wanted.  By acting firmly and quickly my Buyers are now in their new home and (quite happy I might add) while others are still out looking.  Take a look at what they had to say about working with me.

If you would like to contact me about strategies for buying a home in Oakland, Piedmont or Berkeley California or would like to inquire about my no obligation “Buyers 101” meeting, I welcome you to get in touch.
