The Neighborhood Feel of Piedmont Ave
In the educated and diverse neighborhood of Piedmont Ave, artists, families and professionals fill the main and side streets. You’ll see freelance contractors settling in to a café to work, business men wooing clients in a trendy tapas bar, and suburban mothers dashing into a specialty shop to pick up something unique for their home. During lunch hour you might be seated next to someone in scrubs: Kaiser’s flagship hospital is located in the southern part of the neighborhood. Not only is healthcare within walking distance, but Piedmont Ave has its own farmer’s market every Wednesday and a monthly Art Walk every third Thursday.
Getting to San Francisco is easier from Piedmont Ave’s neighborhood than most: there are several AC Transit bus lines serve the neighborhood, including the C Transbay line. This express bus has WiFi internet service and no bus transfers.
